Leo Wang, PhD

Dr. Leo Wang is the principal and founder of Cambridge Invest where he has advised private equity investors and growth companies in a wide range of industries. He is also the former chief financial officer (CFO) of a NASDAQ-listed company. As CFO, he oversaw the company’s NASDAQ listing process, led extensive road shows, helped raise millions of dollars in financing for its strategic expansion, and oversaw stock price appreciation of more than 400% during his tenure. CFO Magazine featured him as a leader who “bridges two worlds (US and China).” Previously, Leo was the first hire at a New York hedge fund where he developed algorithms for global investing for senior executives of Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, UBS and the Federal Reserve. He was also an economics professor at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark and a post-doctoral fellow at the Australian National University in Australia. In addition to serving as strategic investment advisor to the largest city in central China, Leo's experience spans a broad range of industries including technology and software, media and advertising, consumer products, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, industrials, real estate and retail.  Leo holds an MBA from MIT and a PhD in economics from University of Oslo where he was a National Merit Scholar. He was also a Norwegian Science Foundation Scholar at Harvard University. He has been featured by CFO Magazine and interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine, Bloomberg, TheStreet.com and Reuters. He is fluent in English, Chinese and several European languages.

Karl Weiss, PhD

Dr. Karl Weiss is a senior advisor at Cambridge Invest.  He is also Chairman of the Board at Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC), a development agency dedicated to renewable energy and innovation, which is responsible for one-quarter of all jobs in Massachusetts.  MTC administers the Renewable Energy Trust.  He was also Chairman of the Board of Councilors of the Integrated Media Systems Center at the University of Southern California.  He served as Vice Provost and Vice President of Northeastern University as well as Chairman and Professor of its Chemistry Department, and was a consultant to Eastman Kodak Research Laboratories.  He holds a B.S. degree from Columbia University and a Ph.D. from New York University, and was awarded an honorary doctorate from Northeastern University.
