Who We Are
Dr. Leo Wang is the principal and founder of Cambridge Invest. He is the former chief financial officer (CFO) of a NASDAQ-listed company. As CFO, he oversaw the company’s NASDAQ listing, led extensive road shows, helped raise millions of dollars in financing for the company's strategic expansion, and oversaw stock price appreciation of 325% during his tenure. CFO Magazine featured him as a leader who “bridges two worlds (US and China).” Previously, Leo was the first hire at a New York hedge fund where he developed algorithms for global investing for senior executives of Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, UBS and the Federal Reserve. He was also an economics professor at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark and a post-doctoral fellow at the Australian National University in Australia.
Leo holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a PhD in economics from University of Oslo, where he was a National Merit Scholar. He was also a Norwegian Science Foundation Scholar at Harvard University. He has been profiled by CFO Magazine and interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine, Bloomberg, TheStreet.com and Reuters. He is fluent in Chinese and several European languages.
